Dynamic Trading Universe: Choosing Which Markets to Trade

Automate trading universe selection in Quant Fun: filter assets by volume and market cap, use a custom list, and refresh your strategy’s markets on a schedule.

Connected building blocks form a strategy around the Quant Fun mark.

The same signal. A different result.

A strategy is more than its entry and exit signals. The assets it trades can be a deciding factor in its results. A signal that works well on one asset may struggle on another.

Dynamic Trading Universe lets you tailor an existing strategy without rewriting its signals. Choose the supported assets you believe suit its approach, or define rules that adjust the selection as market activity changes.

Keep a focused list, or follow changing activity

Keep a strategy focused on BTC and ETH, for example. For a momentum approach, you might instead want its candidates to follow where trading activity is concentrating. A dynamic volume rule can update that list while the strategy’s own signals decide when to trade.

For crypto assets with supported market data, apply rules to all the strategy’s supported candidates or start with your own shortlist, such as BTC, ETH, SOL and XRP:

  • Follow trading activity: select the top three assets by 24-hour USD trading volume, across all supported candidates or just your shortlist.
  • Choose a market-cap range: include assets above $1 billion, below a ceiling you set, or between two limits.
  • Combine your rules: select up to three of the highest-volume assets that also meet your market-cap criteria.
  • Choose your refresh interval: one, five or fifteen minutes, one hour or one day. Your rules are reapplied automatically as updates become due.

See what your rules select

Your subscription preview shows the current selection. Where a strategy supports an animated preview, its asset carousel follows that selection as assets enter or leave.

Your criteria stay in charge. If fewer assets qualify, the selection is smaller. If none qualify, the strategy opens no new positions for that subscription.

More flexibility, with your setup in place

Changing only your asset settings preserves your allocation and keeps a paused subscription paused. Existing positions continue following the strategy’s exit rules; removing an asset from the selection does not force its positions to close.

Open Dynamic Trading Universe when subscribing to a supported strategy, or find it in your existing subscription’s settings. Choose a fixed list, or let your rules keep it current.
