Closing positions and stopping strategies

Use the position controls to reduce exposure and subscription controls to manage future activity.

Close a perpetual position

  1. Open Portfolio → Positions and find the strategy position on Hyperliquid or Lighter. Check the venue, account, asset and strategy, then choose Exit.
  2. Review the quantity and limit price. The close uses a reduce-only immediate-or-cancel order: it can reduce the position but cannot open the opposite side. Confirm the reviewed close.
  3. Follow the result until the venue confirms execution. An accepted request is still pending. If only part fills, review the remaining position before submitting another close.

Sell a spot token

For a supported Base, Solana or Robinhood Chain holding, choose Sell from Portfolio. Enter the token amount, select the slippage tolerance and review the current quote before confirming. Higher slippage permits a worse execution price; it does not guarantee a fill.

Wait for the confirmed transaction and updated holding. Missing liquidity, network fees, an unavailable route or a pending transaction can prevent a sale. Do not assume a perpetual Exit button exists for every prediction-market or spot position.

Pause, stop and close are separate actions

Closing a position does not stop its active subscription; the strategy may enter again. Open Subscriptions and review Pause or Stop when you also want to change future strategy activity.

Pausing or stopping a subscription does not itself liquidate positions, withdraw funds or move balances to another wallet. Check remaining positions and orders separately before transferring capital.

When a close cannot complete

Unresolved orders, stale account data or ownership that cannot be safely attributed can block a close. Use the pending attempt’s status check and wait for a confirmed result. Do not treat a timeout as proof that nothing was submitted.
